Playing along, Wanda learns that her grannys high-stakes business attracts dangerous people, and revenge will be cold comfort.

When Wanda is thrust into grave danger, her mission becomes clear: she must reject her ideas of revenge and reward and find a way to return to her child.

Only then will she be free to compete for the heart of the man she loves.

Loved reading about prohibition era moonshiners.

Characters come to life in a West Virginia mountain setting.

As I was reading Wanda came to life with a depth of character exhibiting a whole gamit of emotions and I loved the crusty grandma Lucy.

Cant wait for the next book.
