About the Author Rick Black is a veteran hunter, fisherman, and outdoor cook.

He is chairman of SC Iowa Friends of the NRE, SE Iowa chairman of Pheasants Forever, and is on the Camp Chef Pro Staff.

He lives in southeastern Iowa.
