Evening road, paperback/laird hunt

Over the course of one day in the summer of 1920 two women converge for different reasons on the town of Marvel, seeking some respite from a stifling marriage and the violence of everyday life.

However, with the Klan also heading for Marvel, the political implications of the womens lives look set to rise to the surface.
