Ann Gauger is a senior fellow with the Discovery Institutes Center for Science and Culture.
She received her bachelors degree from MIT and her Ph.
in developmental biology from the University of Washington.
Gauger held a postdoctoral fellowship at Harvard University, where her work focused on the molecular motor protein kinesin.
Her research has examined the limits of protein evolution, the origins of humans, and the evolution of metabolism.
Her work has been published in Nature, Development, the Journal of Biological Chemistry , and Bio-Complexity .
She has appeared in several science documentaries, and she co-authored the book Science and Human Origins and co-edited and contributed chapters to Theistic Evolution: A Scientific, Philosophical and Theological Critique .
