About the Author David Evans was born in Cardiff and educated at Cardiff University.

He holds a DPhil in American Literature from the University of Oxford.

His writing has appeared in the Times Literary Supplement , the Independent on Sunday , FT Weekend and Sight & Sound .

This is his first book.
