Frederic Baraga was an adventurous little boy in Slovakia who grew up to be a priest and the first Bishop of Michigans Upper Peninsula - they called him the Snowshoe Priest.

Bishop Frederic Baraga was a courageous and caring man who served the Ojibwe and immigrants of Michigan and Wisconsin during the mid-1800s.

The Snowshoe Priest follows Bishop Baragas story as he journeys from his home country to the New World and treks around the wilderness of the midwest to share Gods love.
