Womens Bodies, Womens Words was created by a decade-old womens writing group, Wildhaven Writers, from Bellingham, Washington, in response to Roe v.
Wade being overturned.
The book contains personal essays and poetry pertaining to abortion, body shaming, pregnancy, miscarriage, marriage, motherhood, rape, sexual abuse, counseling, empowerment, courage, and womens rights.
Each piece tells a unique story highlighting the importance of a womans right to choose what is best for her body and her life.
Womens Bodies, Womens Words is a testament to the strength, resilience, and courage of women and an urgent call to action to protect the reproductive rights that are essential to health and autonomy.
These stories and poems remind us that we are not alone, we are stronger together, and our voices can cause change; as one brave woman wrote in the opening essay- we cant give up.
This collection is also a statement of commitment to continue rallying for the rights of women in our divided country.
The authors of Womens Bodies, Womens Words hope that this collection will give other women the courage to come forth with their own stories, thereby healing and empowering them.
