Expanding access to contraception is essential for achieving universal access to reproductive health-care services, as called for in the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.

This report presents estimates of contraceptive use and needs from 1990 to 2020, and projections to 2030 for 196 countries, as well as regional and global trends.
